Friday, November 22, 2013
Black Friday is only one week away – are you ready? For the more than 250 million Americans who will be braving the crowds during one of shopping’s busiest weekends of the year, preparation is the key to getting the best deals.
Whether you’re staying at home or at a Country Inns & Suites By Carlson hotel the night before Black Friday, here are five tips that will help you get ready for your big shopping day:
1. Lay out your clothes the night before
If you’re planning on catching the best deals on Black Friday, you’ll probably be waking up hours before the sun rises. Early mornings can be hectic, so why not make your Black Friday morning a little bit more organized? Lay out the clothes you plan to wear the night before, from your shirt all the way to your shoes and jacket. Get even more prepared by putting your purse, wallet, store coupons and loyalty cards, reusable shopping bags, and anything else you might need in an accessible area that is easy to grab and go on your way out the door.
2. Set your alarm or wake-up call
Whether you plan on getting up at 2 a.m. or 7 a.m., you probably won’t wake yourself up that early without a little bit of help. Make sure that you’re out of bed at your planned time by setting your alarm, or simply stay at a nearby Country Inns & Suites hotel – we’ll be happy to provide a wake-up call.
3. Do your homework
