MINDDRIVE’s Social Fuel Tour Is Powered By Your Social Actions

We’re so excited about MINDDRIVE’s Social Fuel Tour! MINDDRIVE is a nonprofit educational program that teaches STEM principles through hands-on learning and projects that inspire its students to solve some of the modern issues of our time.
Starting Friday, May 31, MINDDRIVE’s students began a road trip in an electric car that they restored and converted themselves. But their 1967 Karmann Ghia doesn’t just run on electricity – it’s powered by social fuel through the social actions of MINDDRIVE supporters!
How does it work? As the 20 students embark on the Social Fuel Tour, a device will monitor and capture social media activity, both on MINDDRIVE’S social channels and those of its sponsors (including Country Inns & Suites), and trigger the motor to either engage or not engage based on the level of social fuel available. “Social fuel” is gained in several ways, including Twitter follows, mentions, Retweets, and replies, Facebook likes, comments, and shares, YouTube views, likes and comments on Instagram, and more!
The Social Fuel Tour will make stops in several cities between now and June 7, including Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and Washington, D.C., to present the MINDDRIVE program and further their public speaking skills. After a long and exciting day of driving and talking about the program, they’ll need a good night’s rest. What better place to stay than a Country Inns & Suites By Carlson hotel? The students will be spending the night at three of our hotels along the way – including the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Indianapolis Airport South, the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Hagerstown, MD, and the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Woodbridge, VA! We’re so pleased to welcome them to our hotels and provide them with a comfortable bed, hot breakfast, and genuine Country Inns & Suites hospitality.
Want to help out the students participating in MINDDRIVE’s Social Fuel Tour? Rev up their engine with social fuel by checking out MINDDRIVE on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram, and by sharing or commenting on the MINDDRIVE posts on the Country Inns & Suites Facebook page. Every social action will help fuel the car!
