Finally, step back in time at the magnificent Mellette House, home of South Dakota’s first governor, Arthur Calvin Mellette. The house was constructed by Mr. Mellette, his wife, Margaret Wylie Mellette, and four sons in the Italianate-style which was popular at that time.
