President Theodore Roosevelt named Devils Tower as the first national monument in 1906. Lastly, you should head to the Crazy Horse Memorial, a tribute to a legendary Lakota leader, to see a sculpture 34 years in the making. Upon completion, it will be the largest sculpture in the world.
